Fort Bend County Candidate for Sheriff Geneane Merritt, also goes by the name of Geneane Hughes (as shown in her Facebook page).

Miss Geneane Merritt Hughes is running for Fort Bend County Sheriff. It is encouraged that the voters read the following documents before making their decision at the voting boot if Miss Geneane Merritt Hughes isn't fit to be our Sheriff. Daryl Smith is the one who asked Miss Merritt Hughes to run for Fort Bend County Sheriff.

The following are public documents obtained through an open records request.

The documents show that Miss Geneane Merritt Hughes was fired from the Missouri City Police Department for violation of the department Section 3.1 Work Standards.

1. Policy 10-01: Code of Conduct V. D. 5: Fail to be Honest/Untruthfulness,

2. Policy 30-05: City Vehicles ill. C. 5: Improper Use of City Vehicle, and

3. Policy 10-01 Code of Conduct V.D.14: Fail to Report for Duty.
